On Wednesday, May 10, the Rockaway Development and Revitalization Corporation (RDRC) honored Tri- Med’s Home Care Services President and CEO Vinod K. Sinha with their Community Builders Award.

“It has been a pleasure to work with Mr. Vinod,” said Kevin Alexander, President and CEO of RDRC. “As a longtime Rockaway resident, he has always expressed an interest in providing quality health care services in his hometown. Since establishing Tri- Med Home Care Services in Downtown Far Rockaway in 2013, he has become one of our most active and committed business leaders - sponsoring community events for our children and families in need, participating in our outdoor events and activities that promote the vitality of Downtown Far Rockaway. Mr. Vinod has long proven that his actions speak more loudly than his words and that is why he was selected as a 2017 RDRC Community Builders Award recipient.”

This was RDRC’s 31st Annual Tribute and Gala to celebrate and honor the outstanding contributions of individuals who have improved the economic and cultural life of the residents of Rockaway.

The gala awards ceremony, held at Russo’s On The Bay, was attended by several local elected officials and their representatives and more than 325 guests.

Sinha also received official proclamations from Congressman Gregory Meeks, State Senator James Sanders, Councilman Donovan Richards and Assemblywoman Michele Titus.

Tri-Med Home Care Services’ motto is “caring for generations.” Their mission statement states their company goals are “to provide professional and paraprofessional services to clients in their homes, assisting them in fulfilling their potentials in their day-today self-care activities.”

The Rockaway peninsula is home to a large community with an elderly population. Home care services, onsite support care services, adult day care services, senior centers and their programs are in high demand.

Tri-Med’s Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) gives loved ones control of the care of the ones they love. If you are eligible for long term home care services, a member of your family, a trusted friend, a faithful neighbor or whomever you feel comfortable with, can care for you. Tri-Med Home Care Services will pay the person of your choice as long as they are eligible to work in the U.S. Certification is not a requirement for the person of your choice to care for you.

The company slogan, “Our Culture, Our People” reflects Tri-Med’s multicultural and multi-lingual staff. Tri- Med’s Home Care Services are available in many languages: English, Hindi, Spanish, Bengali, French, Hebrew, Farsi, French, Punjabi, Creole, Russian, Gujarati, Urdu and Chinese.
